We’ve wiped over 20% of all student debt, totalling $16 billion, for around three million Australians.

We’ve changed the way HECS debts are indexed to make sure that student debt never grows faster than wages.

And we’ve cut the repayment rate and increased the repayment threshold to $67,000, saving the average person $680 per year.

Since we introdcued Free TAFE in 2023, there have been more than 814,000 course enrolments, with more than 250,000 course completions.

Now, we’ve made Free TAFE permanent, delivering 100,000 places every year to continue addressing skills shortages.

We’ve entered an agreement with the States and Territories to increase federal funding for public schools to 25% of the Schooling Resource Standard (SRS) - putting every school on the path to full and fair funding.

This will see an estimated $16.5 billion in additional Commonwealth funding to public schools across the nation over the next 10 years - the biggest ever Federal investment in public schools.

Our $1 billion Building Early Education Fund is building and expanding early childhood educations services, including $500 million for Government-owned services.

We’re investing $430 million over four years to deliver the 3 Day Guarantee - three days of subsidised childcare for every child who needs it.

Our reforms have seen the early childhood education and care workforce grow by 20,000 workers - helped by a 15% wage increase.

The National Housing Accord is working to ensure that 80% of Australia’s workforce hold a tertiary qualification by 2050, up from 60% today.

The Accord will create an additional 235,000 Commonwealth Supported Places by 2035, focusing on in-demand areas like teaching, nursing, engineering and IT.

Our Commonwealth Prac Payment Program is also providing financial relief of $338.60 per week to eligible students who undertake mandatory placements in teaching, nursing, midwifery or social work.
